Mail your letter to Santa using our very special North Pole mailbox located in the lobby of the Community Center. Address your letter to Santa & Mrs. Clause at 1 N. Candy Lane, The North Pole and the elves will make sure to get your letter to Santa. Be sure to drop your letter off by December 4 so Santa has plenty of time to reply during his busiest time of the year. Don’t forget to include your address so Santa can write back!
Date/Time Information: Application, Scarecrows and a $5 entry fee (donated to the Westmont Historical Society) to be submitted to the Westmont Chamber office (1 South Cass Ave, Westmont) by October 4th. Scarecrows will be displayed from October 9 – November 1, 2017
Downers Grove Township Electronics Recycling Program 8 a.m to Noon at their Highway Department Facility at 318 E. Quincy Street in Westmont. The program will be held on the third Saturday of each month, unless that date falls on a holiday. There are a few program changes including a charge for TVs. Come out and watch various Westmont community groups and public agencies compete in our 3ed annual pumpkin smashing extravaganza. Competitors will go 20 feet up in the air in a bucket truck and aim at a target below.
Hosted by the Westmont Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau within our Downtown Business Community, the Westmont Caskets on Case Race is a foot race of homemade caskets sponsored by community organizations, businesses and area residents.

Twin Lakes Woods will come alive for one very magical, mystical night! Participants will walk the first half of the trail and then narrators will tell you the story of the haunted woods as they conduct guided tours on hayracks. Don’t turn your back, as characters, ghouls and creatures will come alive before your very eyes! We will again offer our Merry Monsters Matinee (spooky) performance from 5:00- 6:30 pm for the younger children.
Tickets sales will be from 4:30-9:00PM and tours will be ongoing so you may arrive at any time. Due to the popularity of the event, there may be a short wait.
Note: please park along 59th St., Twin Lakes Learning Center.
Join us for the next Friends of Library meeting. Everyone is welcome! The Friends are a group of volunteers who help the library expand its services to the community by raising money through used book sale in the library lobby, assisting with various library programs, and funding special programs and additional equipment. The Friends of the Westmont Public Library is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.

The Westmont Special Events Corporation is led by an all volunteer Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is responsible determining the direction of and leading the coordination of all WSEC events. These volunteers work to benefit the entire community of Westmont and have the thanks of the Village of Westmont for their work.
