Hello, Friends of Westmont Cruisin’ Nights & Street Fair!

Westmont Special Events pays close attention to weather forecasts and other factors, and while we never want to cancel an event, we sometimes need to make adjustments to keep people safe.

Due to the poor air quality advisory and the weather forecast, it has been decided to hold a modified event on July 16, 2026 - Cass Avenue will NOT be closed tonight. Music will be indoors only.

HOWEVER, car owners and guests are invited to come to downtown Westmont, park on the street or in a public parking lot, and visit our local businesses and event sponsors…

NEAT Kitchen including live indoor music featuring Mike Hayes
Johnny’s Blitz including live indoor music featuring the Trailer Park Twisters beginning at 6pm
The Uptown featuring karaoke at 9pm
As well as food and drink specials at:
Dolce Restaurant
Potbelly Pub
Walsh’s Bar & Grill

Westmont Special Events - NFP

The Westmont Special Events Corporation (WSEC) is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization, which is led by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. The Board of Directors and the Executive Director are responsible for overseeing the direction, planning, coordination and implementation of all WSEC events. As of 2022, WSEC is responsible for hosting and assisting with over 60 days of events programming annually. Following are the members of our Executive Board as of September 1, 2022:

Event Cancellation Protocol

Hello Friends of Westmont Special Events -

Westmont Special Events pays close attention to weather forecasts and while we never want to cancel an event, we sometimes need to in order to keep people safe. We have direct communication with the National Weather Service which provides us with expert analysis and updates when we make these decisions.

Once an event is cancelled, postponed, or updated due to weather, we do our best to communicate this information on our website, social media, and other means. We thank everyone for their understanding and patience in these circumstances.
